2017 Exploring History Summer Camp

"Ranching Heritage: Branding, BBQ and Cattle Barons!"

Children ages 7 to 11 will enjoy this week-long camp that focuses on all things ranching! Through museum discovery, crafts and hands-on activities, the participants will learn about all facets of ranching history in the great state of Texas. Activities include: Museum Discovery, arts and crafts, roping fun with lassos, discovering agri-science, creating your own brand, dress up day, games and much more!

Weekly camp sessions run Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting July 10 through July 27. The cost is $120/week or $30/day. Children must bring their own lunch, drinks and 2 snacks. Fee includes a t-shirt and backpack. Curriculum repeats each week. 

Camp activities complement the temporary exhibit “Ranching Heritage: Branding, BBQ and Cattle Barons," on display at the museum from March 6, 2017 to January 7, 2018.
