The 2018 Art and Essay Contests are aligned to the STEAM curriculum. This focus includes scientific applications in the visual arts. The 2018 Contests call for original artwork from students in grades K-12 and essays from students in grades 4-12.
Online registration is available now! Create your account, enter the information, and upload the essay or an image of the artwork. No need to bring a copy of the essay if you register online.
For delivery of artwork, print the entry form and place on back of artwork. Entries for both the Art and Essay Contests will be accepted, Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 2-7 p.m. at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
Mailed entries for both artwork and essays will need to be postmarked by March 8, 2018.
Young Spurs Writing Contest
The partnership of the Bush Library with the Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference and Big Thought gives students (9th grade - 12th grade) an opportunity to enter the Young Spurs Writing Contest.
